    Experiential Learning

    Research, internships, service learning.

A Susquehanna education, comprised of hands-on experiences both in and out of the classroom, will prepare you for life after graduation.

Susquehanna alumni are equipped with the tools necessary to succeed in our rapidly evolving global economy.

One of the amazing things about Susquehanna education is that there's multiple opportunities for students to apply their classroom knowledge in multiple settings. Our students are getting project-based learning, right from the very first semesters. When I think about the business school, the entire first year class of the business school students, are working on a case analysis that simulates what a consultant would do and sort of providing strategic recommendations. There's multiple opportunities just here at Susquehanna. But we have a great vibrant community here-- So our students can work with local businesses for internships during the academic year, or they can get internships during summer and winter breaks. Having access to the equipment and the ability to do research early on, is a great opportunity for our students. Any student that wants to get involved early, has that opportunity, and that gives them real life experience. And that gives them just an understanding of the science that they're doing much earlier than waiting till they get to grad school or waiting to get through their senior year. So they get to develop their own projects and become independent thinkers. We have a real emphasis about preparing students for real life experiences through experiential learning, which we can do here in the classroom, and also co-curricularly outside the classroom. So it's a really important part of developing the graduate, so that you, the student, is ready to go out and to be a part of a an organization, a nonprofit, or a business.
